Here's exactly where you'll be able to play Grand Theft Auto VI at launch, and where things still stand open.

With the November 19, 2026 release date locked in, Rockstar has also been clear about exactly where GTA 6 is launching. The confirmed platforms are PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S.

That means anyone on Sony’s or Microsoft’s current-generation hardware is covered on day one, including the enhanced PS5 Pro, which suggests Rockstar is building with that hardware’s extra headroom specifically in mind rather than treating it as an afterthought. Both editions of the game, Standard and Ultimate, are being sold for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S alike, with no platform-exclusive content differences mentioned in Rockstar’s announcements.

One thing worth being precise about: Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6, one way or the other. That’s not the same as a PC release being ruled out — it simply hasn’t been confirmed or denied as part of any official communication so far. Given how central PC has become to past Grand Theft Auto releases over their lifespan, it’s a gap in the current announcements that a lot of players have noticed, but there’s nothing official to report on it yet in either direction.

For now, the safest planning assumption is the one Rockstar has actually stated: PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X/S at launch, full stop. Anything beyond that list is speculation until Rockstar says otherwise.
