Death Stranding 2: Where It Stands After the PC Launch, Plus a Hot Toys Tomorrow Figure
Hot Toys unveiled a limited Tomorrow figure on September 23, a good moment to recap where Kojima Productions' sequel is on PS5 and PC.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach made merchandise news on September 23, when Hot Toys revealed a 1/6 scale Tomorrow figure, Artisan Edition, based on Elle Fanning’s performance.
The figure. The Toyark reports it stands roughly 29 cm tall with wool-rooted blonde hair, a seamless silicone body with 28 points of articulation, separate rolling eyeballs, eight interchangeable hands, a white gathered-neck dress, white sneakers and a tar spear. A tar-themed diorama base with interchangeable splash effects completes the set. It is limited to 3,000 units in selected markets, per the listing, and is slated for Q3 to Q4 2027. Price has not been announced and pre-orders are not open. The Toyark quotes the listing: “Available in a limited quantity of 3,000 units in selected markets, this exclusive Artisan figure is an extraordinary piece.”
Where the game stands. Death Stranding 2 launched on PS5 on June 26, 2025. Kojima Productions announced, in collaboration with Nixxes Software, that it would reach PC on March 19, 2026 on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and it did. The announcement promised ultrawide support (21:9 and, on PC, 32:9), unlocked frame rates, upscaling and frame generation, full mouse and keyboard customization, and DualSense integration. Kojima Productions listed minimum specs of a GTX 1660 or RX 5500 XT and recommended specs of an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 with 16GB of RAM and 150GB of SSD space.
A correction worth making. Some search listings suggest a Death Stranding 2 stage presentation at Tokyo Game Show on September 29. The listing we traced was from the 2024 show, not this year’s, so we are not reporting a 2026 TGS appearance. If Kojima Productions announces one, we will cover it.
Reception. Per the game’s Wikipedia entry, aggregate reviews sit at 89 on Metacritic and it collected award nominations at The Game Awards 2025 and the BAFTA Games Awards 2026, as well as audio design wins. We have not independently verified sales estimates cited there and are not repeating them.
Bottom line. The game is out on both PS5 and PC, and no new post-launch content has been announced in what we retrieved. Right now, the news flow is collectibles for 2027.
